Starting as Editorial Assistant, I was promoted to Editor on the Scissorhands Media portfolio of beauty titles – Hair & Beauty Inspiration, Hair Now and Perfect Hair.
As we were a small company with an even smaller editorial team, my responsibilities included writing features and producing shoots, as well as creating the flatplan, editing the magazine and liaising with advertisers. My role also saw me managing a small team and delegating work accordingly.
I was also responsible for launching, running and editing our website and salon directory, as well as launching our social media.
