I spent three years as a producer for the beauty programs at Mastered.
Mastered produces online talent programs for the new breed of creative professional, led by the biggest names in the fashion industry. We have more than 3,000 alumni, in 81 countries across the globe.
I joined the company to create and produce their first hair program, with session stylist Sam McKnight. I have since produced the second hair program with iconic hairstylist, Guido Palau. I now work with the company on a part-time basis, consulting for the beauty programs, editing copy and mentoring students on the hair program.
For the previous two programs, I developed the syllabus and found and recruited the right experts to deliver the content. We worked with some of the most exciting names in the beauty industry, including journalists from Vogue US, Vogue Italia, Allure, i-D, InStyle, Nylon and ELLE, as well as leading fashion names like Tim Walker, Inez & Vinoodh, Fabien Baron, Alistair McKimm, Premier Hair and Makeup, Coco Rocha, Kathy Philips, WGSN and Isamaya Ffrench.
I was also responsible for producing the content for the programs; planning and shooting interviews with our experts in locations across the globe, writing all of the content and arranging AMA sessions. Everything we produce is required to provide the relevant content for the right part of our syllabus and we have really honed our production style to ensure we get the most learning possible from each shoot for the professionals enrolled.
I also work on Mastered Live: our large-scale in-person events. We have held events in Croatia, Montreal, Iceland and London, bringing together hundreds of professionals from across our programs for three days of workshops, panel discussions and shooting. As well as booking experts for the event and devising formats to bring the Mastered pillars to life in a live environment, I also led multiple workshops for our beauty professionals and supervised their shoots.
I now work with Mastered on a freelance basis, mentoring hair and makeup students on social media, branding and building a press profile.
